The programme was created during the preparation stage of the Pilsen - European Capital of Culture 2015 project and more than 500 volunteers have participated through it in the organization of cultural , educational and research events. In 2015 alone, they dedicated more than 6,000 hours of their time to culture.

The programme continues and found its home at the DEPO2015. Apart from Pilsen 2015’s activities, the volunteers also support other cultural organizations and institutions such as: Foster the City, Alliance Française Pilsen, the Museum of West Bohemia in Pilsen, the Education and Research Library of the Pilsen Region, the Film Service Pilsen, the Finále Festival and Tanec Praha.
