Nicoletta Cabassi is an Italian dancer from Parma who was selected for an artistic residency in Nectiny in 2013. Unfortunately she could not take part at that project at the end. However, we decided to invite Nicoletta to work on her project in Pilsen in the main year of the European Capital of Culture project - Pilsen 2015.

Nicoletta arrived to Pilsen with three Italian dancers - Francesca Ruggerini, Eleonora Soricaro and Michela Silvestrin. Together with other Czech dancers they worked for three weeks on a site-specific performance called Nowhere, now here which was presented on 09/07 at 8pm in DEPO2015.

Nicoletta started her training in ballet during her childhood and after her Diploma of Art, she moved to France to continue the study of dance. She focused there her apprenticeship in contemporary dance and had many experiences as actress into the experimental theatre and singer in bands. In the middle of the 90´s she founded her own Company named Lubbert Das. In parallel she continued her dancing careers with national and international companies and also for different opera theatres and several choreographers, and had a teaching experimentation for few years in Venice. Now she works as a free-lance international choreographer and collaborate also with the Tanz Company Gervasi in Vienna as a choreographic assistant.
