OPEN CALL FOR GERMAN ARTIST
We are looking for German visual artists or land art experts!
Place: Pilsen, St. George's Park
Date: 16-29 August 2015
Artists’ profile and the aim of the project: we are seeking German artists or land art artists who would be interested in taking part in the Land Art Festival in the St. George's Park in Pilsen; either by creating their own temporary installations with natural materials, leading workshops for the general public or assisting land art experts from Hungary and Poland with the realisation of their works.
Please send your application, an up-to-date CV, a portfolio (examples of realised works) and a motivational letter (all in German or English) to: samalova(at)plzen2015.cz by 12 July 2015. An expert jury will choose artists by 15 July.
About the Land Art Festival:
The aim of the Land Art Festival in the St. George's Park is to draw attention to the natural, cultural and historical values of this unique space on the confluence of the Úslava and Berounka Rivers and to include this place in the system of the urban landscape and public spaces in the City of Pilsen. Land art experts from Hungary, Poland and Germany will create their works here with the theme of a dragon and water. Their work will culminate on Saturday 29 August 2015 in the presentation of their installations, concerts and open workshops.
