Ana B. Hursh and Christian Santana Prinz

Ana B. Hursh and Christian Santana Prinz  were in residence within the Open A.i.R. program in DEPO2015 for the month of June, July and August 2019.

Ana B. Hursh and Christian Santana Prinz have very different styles and interests, this contrast allows them to come together harmoniously to explore their environment and ideas. Their artistic oeuvre is the product of two basic elements: the initial idea and the materials that they transform to create. They introduce a new element into the equation; the collaboration, which means that there are two completely different initial ideas which spark a dialogue and exchange that, complicates and multiplies the scope and possibilities of their work. The object of their collaboration is not to merely to produce pictorial effigies, but to create images that will take us from one place to another and will refer to other images.
