JOURNEY AROUND THE WORLD The new interactive family experience exhibition from the DEPO2015 workshop brings a unique concept of light experience exhibition combined with elements of escape games. The story of the exhibition refers to Jules Verne's famous novel. At the start of the expedition, visitors will find themselves in the area in front of a huge suitcase. As soon as they enter it, they move in time to the beginning of the 20th century and find themselves in an English men's club. At that moment, the painting of Verne's hero Phileas Fogg, hanging on the wall, comes to life, drawing the player into the story and inviting them to make a bet, just like he once did, to complete a trip around the world in the gallows deadline. Visitors will have the task of passing through nine environments symbolizing different places around the world, from Venice in Italy, through a bazaar in the Middle East, the African savannah, India, to the forest of South America or the frozen landscape of the Arctic. In each of the environments, they have to solve a complicated task in order to get a clue in their passport and be able to continue their journey. Only the most skilled player can go around the entire planet in time, solve all the tasks correctly and get the treasure of Phileas Fogg himself. The exhibited works deal with the hidden feelings of individuals in growing chaos, fluctuating between continuous perception and presentation of their own person. The artist draws attention to a possible civilizational defect and a gradual transformation into a new, more complex and at the same time comfortable world, facilitated by new technologies. DEPOvLET 2021 A summer cultural marathon full of music, dance, good food and a relaxed summer atmosphere dominated the DEPO2015 courtyard throughout July. The DEPOvLETU festival followed up on its premiere last year and once again offered a program mix that aimed to start and stir up the cultural scene after the long coronavirus break. Apart from the Na Stojáka event, entry to the entire festival was free. The offer of programs consisted of three types of events:dance halls, gastro events andconcerts , which was supplemented by onestand up night . All Friday and Saturday evenings in July belonged to concerts of popular bands. As in the previous year, mainly local bands got a lot of space. Volunteers The cultural volunteering program of the Pilsen 2015 project, called the Guardian Angels Club, is an open platform for the general public that develops cultural volunteering in Pilsen. The program was created during the preparatory years of the Plzeň - European Capital of Culture 2015 project, and during its existence, more than 500 volunteers participated in the organization of cultural, educational and research events through it. In 2015 alone, they devoted more than 6,000 hours of their free time to culture. The program continues to operate and DEPO2015 has become its home stage. However, in addition to the activities of the Plzeň 2015 organization, the activities of the volunteers focus on supporting other cultural organizations and institutions such as: Pěstuj sprot, French Alliance Plzeň, West Bohemian Museum in Pilsen, Study and Science Library of the Plzeň Region, Film Servis Plzeň and the Finale and Dance Prague festival . WALLZ 2020 The first year of the WALLZ street art festival brightened the sunny summer Pilsen even more. From August 17 to 22, 11 selected public locations became both a canvas and a stage for recognized domestic and foreign artists. Right in front of your eyes, traditional writers and subsequent authors who develop street art and graffiti in other directions conjure up their works. Remember how the first year of the successful Street Art Festival WALLZ took place: The face of the WALLZ festival is Michal Škapa aka Tron, one of the most important authors of the Czech graffiti scene. Škapa belongs to the strong generation of "writers" of the 90s, he has dozens of exhibitions and hundreds of art projects to his credit. He became a pioneer of so-called murals (huge street art paintings) in the Czech Republic. Among his most recent projects is KOSMOS at Václav Havel Airport in Prague, which became one of the largest murals in Central Europe. ​ WALLZ will also feature 8 Czech and foreign street art artists - X-Dog, Jakub Janovský, the well-known Brno artist TIMO, Akrobad and Obras from Pilsen, as well as Ruin and Skirl - famous creators from Austria or successful Zbiok from Poland. ​ Colorful street art performances will be complemented by an equally varied accompanying program. CO.CON 2019 CO.CON is a multi-genre festival focusing mainly on 4 themes, mostly related to SCI-FI and FANTASY themes: PC games, comics, cosplay and board and card games. The pilot year of this festival took place in 2019. She got the biggest space at the festival PC game room , allowing participation in the tournament for prizes. The successful project aims to develop quality art in the public space of the city. It brings to Pilsen the star names of artists of the world graffiti scene, who leave their murals, i.e. large-scale paintings, at about ten locations throughout the city every year. With their artistic interventions, artists try to cultivate the often unsightly surfaces of various objects, from residential houses, which are reported to the project by the owners themselves, through the technical objects of the city to noise protection walls or entire streets. During the several years of the festival, not only did localities throughout Pilsen look better, but also the residents' awareness of art in public space and the perception of its importance rose significantly.
