The aim of the project V4 Digital Art Melting Pot is to organize artistic residencies for 4 artists of 4 nations in 4 countries.
The artistic field is defined as the light design and digital arts. Each partner will announce an open call for the residency applications in February 2022. All partners together will pick one artist from each country who will get the opportunity to make his/her residency and realize his/her artistic project in a foreign country at the project partner as a host. The residency will last 7 to 20 days and will precede a local festival of light in the host town. Thanks to that, the residency will be crowned by a final presentation of the output in front of a large audience, which is a great benefit for the artist as well as for the project partners – they will be able to showcase their international activities and present the participation on the V4-project in public.
The project V4 Digital Art Melting Pot is funded by International Visegrad Fund.

Zsolnay Light Festival (Pécs, HU)
The first and only light festival in Hungary, the Zsolnay Light Festival in Pécs, will shine the center of Pécs again with dazzling light creations in the summer of 2022!
Between July 7 and 10, 2022, the buildings will be clad in a light robe and the streets get a light carpet, while the monumental façade of the Cathedral will be brought to life by the best 3D motion-image projections of the international mapping competition.
The 4-day festival is a really memorable experience for families and groups of friends in the Mediterranean city-centre of Pécs, with mappings and various accompanying programs.
Walking along the Pathway of Light passing through the center of Pécs, you can once again admire grandiose, heart-warming, and extravagant – and always incredibly spectacular, site-specific light installations at some 30 locations.
The festival offers a unique combination of the world of light festivals, street art productions, concerts, theatre, and new circus performances.
Bella Skyway Festival (Toruń, PL)
The cultural landscape of Toruń has been enriched by another European-scale event — Bella Skyway Festival. A festival that is fresh, unique and reality-changing. A festival that breathes new life into the gothic town walls of Toruń.
The Festival has been organised in Toruń since 2009 and its beginnings are connected with the fact that the town tried to become a European Capital of Culture 2016. The programme of this event is based on three pillars: science, art, people.
Biela noc (Bratislava / Košice, SK)
Biela noc is a prestigious international art project, which aims to bring the general public closer to contemporary art and non-traditional, unknown and important places in European capitals.
White Night was established in Paris in 2002. In 2013, it was visited by more than two and a half million people. Within a few years, the project spread from Paris to cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Montreal, Rome and many others, including Košice and Bratislava.
