A story in which five little boys discover an ancient garden on their way to school, where they experience a series of unexpected encounters and hilarious adventures. The exhibition Trnkova Zahrada 2 transforms the original story into a multimedia installation with an original scenography, playing Jiří Trnka's illustrations in the form of a magical garden. Young and old visitors can take on the characters of the 5 boys from the book and experience their adventures first hand. They meet all the main characters from the book: a stone dwarf, a mischievous cat, good-natured elephants, an outwitted whale and a singing pack of dogs. At the same time, the emphasis is on interactivity, working with the visitor and his involvement in the whole process. Trnkova Zahrada 2 was created with the support of Pilsen 2015, the European Capital of Culture, and was also first presented in Pilsen in February 2015. Since then, it has expanded to include many other digital and physical attractions, scenic elements and developed into a unique interactive exhibition, which has always been exhibited in several cities with a great response from visitors. In a new, expanded form, it is now returning to Pilsen, where its story began 8 years ago. The authors of the exhibition are Jan and Matyáš Trnka, the heirs and successors of Jiří Trnka. Zajímá vás program? www.depo2015.cz DEPOvLETu 2021 A summer cultural marathon full of music, dance, good food and a relaxed summer atmosphere dominated the DEPO2015 courtyard throughout July. The DEPOvLETU festival followed up on its premiere last year and once again offered a program mix that aimed to start and stir up the cultural scene after the long coronavirus break. Apart from the Na Stojáka event, entry to the entire festival was free. The program consisted of three types of events: dance parties, food events, and concerts, complemented by one stand-up comedy night. All Friday and Saturday evenings in July were devoted to concerts by popular bands. As in the previous year, local bands were given the most airtime. For three Monday evenings, the courtyard of DEPO2015 went back in time a hundred years, when jazz bands rocked the stage and the dance floor spun to the rhythm of swing. Experienced dancers, complete beginners, and even those who just wanted to come and watch were welcome, and perhaps while listening they discovered that swing performed by the best jazz bands in Pilsen had captured their hearts. For those who preferred good food to dancing, two themed gastronomic evenings were prepared. On June 22, it was possible to taste various Asian specialties at the Taste Asia event. On June 29, Mediterranean cuisine took center stage. The Seafood & Prosecco gastronomic evening featured delicacies such as shrimp and calamari, but as the name suggests, there was no shortage of refreshing prosecco either. The third event dedicated to gastronomy was the popular all-day DEPO Street Food Market on June 25, which traditionally brought food trucks and stalls with the best of world street food. Fans of stand-up comedy will not have missed the Na Stojáka event, featuring the (in)correct humor of comedians Adéla Elbel, Tomáš Matonoha, and Richard Nedvěd. A total "major" reconstruction, during which the entire DEPO was to be closed for several years, is not planned, the reconstruction is taking place gradually, with partial operation. Based on the experience from the first phase of the reconstruction, we can promise the implementation of most of our activities in 2026, although in a limited operating mode. The investor and contracting authority of the construction is the city of Pilsen. The company Plzeň 2015, z. ú. , which is the operator of the creative and cultural zone DEPO2015 , has only an advisory role in the planning and implementation of the construction. In the first and second phases of the reconstruction in 2024–2025, the roof and windows of the SO 02 building, which houses the Ústředna café, the Plumber's Shop, the Market and all adjacent spaces towards Cukrovarská Street, are being replaced. The construction is being handled from the Cukrovarská Street side, and the second building, the Bus Hall and all other spaces towards Presslova Street, including rental spaces, the new Foyer café, the parking lot and the courtyard, can be used at all times . The reconstruction of the roof covering will be completed by 29 September 2025. The third phase is planned for November 2025 - August 2026 , and will reconstruct part of the interiors in the same building marked SO 02. The bus hall and all other spaces towards Presslova Street, including rental spaces, the new Foyer café, parking and courtyard, will continue to be accessible. We expect the third phase to be completed by August 31, 2026. All long-term rental spaces in Hall SO 02 will be unavailable until the end of June 2026. We will be looking for new tenants during spring 2026. It is currently possible to reserve a date for your events at DEPO2015 in the years 2025–2027 , however, we would like to inform interested parties of a possible change in the situation according to current developments. The schedule for the subsequent reconstruction in 2026–2027 is currently being prepared in connection with the construction development of the surrounding area. The DEPO2015 building is to continue to serve culture and the development of creative industries in the future. New development is planned for the entire area, which will significantly transform this district in the future, see the Cukrovarská territorial study and the Doudlevecká territorial study. Sunbeds, umbrellas, great atmosphere, good food and drink and lots of cultural activities, that's the Náplavka festival on Radbuza, which comes to life every summer!. Naplavka at Radbuza 2023: this year for the fifth time! 💦 Culture will once again muddy the waters of the Radbuza river. The proposal must comply with applicable fire safety and electrical installation requirements, maintain clear access to escape routes and technical equipment, and must not obstruct emergency lighting. The maximum length of the light installation is 3 m from the ceiling suspension point. PUBLIC OUTCOME The work will be publicly presented as part of Pilsen Design 2026. Following the presentation, the lighting installation is intended to remain on display in the foyer of DEPO2015 as a long-term visible outcome of the Czech–German residency programme. In the courtyard of DEPO2015, a CAR PARK is being created under his hands! Here, the sculptor reacts critically to the present with his typical quirky humor. Nature growing through gradually decaying car wrecks forces the viewer to think about ecology and recycling. The installation is in harmony with the industrial space of the depot, where it also brings the missing greenery and thus offers, in addition to a visual artistic experience, a pleasant sitting "in nature".

The purpose of this cross-border project was to restore former Czech-Bavarian contacts and cooperation, which had been significantly limited in the last two years, and to create new partnerships.
